WHO IS THE ‘RIGHT’ HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL FOR YOU?
By Dr. Bethany Valachi
Developing and maintaining good musculoskeletal health in dentistry can be a challenge. Dental professionals are prone to unique muscle imbalances and require special exercise and ergonomic interventions to maintain optimal health during the course of their career. Team members can easily develop chronic pain syndromes if the proper ergonomic and wellness interventions are not implemented.
If you have had persistent chronic pain for longer than six to eight weeks, you should probably be working one-on-one with a healthcare professional. So who is the ‘right’ healthcare professional?
Below you will find the healthcare professionals I have found most helpful in effectively treating a majority of pain syndromes in dental professionals.
Keep in mind that, as in every profession, there are varying degrees of competency. This is why I am listing very specific websites where you can find certified, highly experienced practitioners near you!
